Show Me 200

My Dad, Steve Mitoraj of the D'Arcy team and myself headed down to meet up with 170 or so others for the annual MTRA Show Me 200 down in Southern Missouri. The ride was 115 miles on Saturday and 85 on Sunday. The ride starts in Lesterville and works its way offroad up to Viburnum for the night and then back the next day. The Lesterville area seemed to consist of mostly ATV trails which get a bit monotonous to the dirt biker while the latter half of the ride turns into alot of sweet and technical singletrack. Rocks, hills, dust and mud after a rain storm made for quite the adventure. After arriving in Viburnum, we got cleaned up and shuttled off to an old Country Club turned into a Senior Center for a prime rib dinner. Steve and I snuck in a 9 hole round of Golf at the old Country Club before dinner. Most of the riders slept in the high school gymnasium in Viburnum which surpisingly was pleasant and peaceful by about 9:30pm. Here are a few pics of the trip. Now it is time to put the motorized cycle back in the corner and get back on the human powered cycle.
